Effective leadership is a vital attribute of executive management. So its development is fundamental to a successful enterprise. I view leadership as comprising three key attributes:

  • firstly the ability to "steer" the business in the right direction, by taking the correct strategic and tactical decisions
  • secondly to be able to motivate and get the best out of the staff working with and for you
  • thirdly to be able to communicate effectively so that the right messages are conveyed in the appropriate manner
