Leslie is currently Non-executive Chairman of SIG plc and Robert Walters plc, and Non-executive Director at  DCC plc and La Seda de Barcelona S.A. He was Non-executive Director at Aviva plc from May 2009 to May 2012 and CEO for Rexam plc from January 2007 to December 2009. 

Prior to that, he was Executive Vice President of Global Retail, Royal Dutch Shell Group, where he had worked from 2000 to 2006. Before joining Shell he was the Chief Executive of United Biscuits plc for whom he worked for six years. He also spent six years as a non executive director of Aegis plc.
 
Leslie was born and educated in France. He graduated from the Hautes Etudes Commerciales in 1979 and started his career with the Danone Group before joining Cadbury Schweppes in 1984. There he held a number of senior international management positions in their soft drinks business before joining United Biscuits in 1994.
 
He has been living in London since 1994 and has also lived and worked in a number of other countries.
