Vanda now holds a number of Non Executive Directorships having had a successful career at senior level across a range of industries in the UK, Europe, Asia and the USA.

Current NED roles include Senior Independent Director at Fenner plc, NED at Microgen plc (and Chair of the Remuneration Committee), Chemring plc, Manchester Airports Group, Exova Group plc and most recently Bunzl plc (and Chair of RemCo from April 2015). She is also Chair of the Board of Governors at Manchester Metropolitan University.

Vanda's previous NED roles include Carillion plc and SIG plc, Chair of Business Link North West, Deputy Chair of the North West Regional Development Agency and Non Executive Chairman of Eazyfone Ltd. 

Vanda was a graduate trainee with ICI plc and spent her early career in European marketing roles with GTE Inc and BET plc. From 2001-2004 she was CEO of Blick plc, a FTSE quoted support services Group, where she doubled the market capitalisation prior to its sale to The Stanley Works Inc. From 2004-2006, she led a successful turnaround at Ultraframe plc.

In 2002, Vanda was appointed OBE for Services to Industry and to Export. She has a BA (Hons) in European Business Administration and a French Business Diploma. Her interests include Modern Languages, theatre, opera, reading and keeping fit.
