Andrew is currently Chief Merchandising Officer for George and General Merchandise at Asda.

Prior to this role Andrew was Managing Director of George Clothing. His early career was spent at Marks and Spencer PLC where he held a number of senior positions within the Buying Groups. In 2000, Andrew was given the opportunity of working closely with George Davis for 2 years on the development and launch of per una. In 2004, he was promoted to Director of General Merchandise Planning for Marks and Spencer and was part of Stuart Rose’s team focused on the M&S recovery plan.

After over 25 years with M&S, Andrew took early retirement in 2007 and quickly realised he wasn’t cut out for gardening. He therefore set-up his own Retail Consultancy, moved to Cape Town and spent a year working with the Board of Woolworths South Africa.

In 2008, Andrew moved back to the UK and joined George Clothing (part of Asda Wal-Mart).

Andrew is married with 2 daughters and enjoys cricket, cars, wine and contemporary furniture.
