Andrew was appointed Chief Operating Officer of Morgan Advanced Materials on 14 February 2013.

Previously, Andrew held a number of senior positions within the Morgan Crucible Group, which in early 2013 rebranded to Morgan Advanced Materials. He was CEO of Technical Ceramics from 2004 to 2010, whereupon the Technical Ceramics and Thermal Ceramics businesses were brought together as the Morgan Ceramics division, making him CEO of Morgan Ceramics from 2010 to 2013.

A materials scientist, Andrew graduated with a PhD from Sheffield University. He was President of the British Ceramics Confederation from 2003 to 2005.

Andrew is a Non-Executive Director of CERAM, an independent organisation which has many years experience working with international clients in the materials industries, helping them improve their performance and profitability. CERAM applies their capabilities to a range of sectors, including construction, engineering, manufacturing, medical, pharmaceutical and ceramics.

Andrew is also a Non-Executive Director of Fiberweb plc, a multi-national manufacturer of a wide range of non-woven fabrics and products for hygiene and cleaning, medical, industrial and technical applications.

Andrew lives in Surrey with his wife and four young sons. He enjoys playing golf, is learning to play the guitar and has travelled extensively for work and leisure.

Andrew is a Member of the Criticaleye Advisory Board.
